that is amazing...first time I heard him run through Cochran’s number so many years ago I knew even then this guy could play

dududumdum...dududumdum....helluva an opening riff for 1969...I think Woodstock was their first public cover of STB

he always actually thought he could have played lead guitar too and it shows

On the early Who records, basically Ox did play the leads on the bass, while Pete mainly did rhythm guitar. Did you ever hear their version of “In the Hall of the Mountain King” with Ox playing lead bass.
