Wow, I can’t believe the level of stereotyping and prejudice I’m seeing in this thread. Seriously people? I thought we’d be above judging people by the way they look. I guess I was wrong.
They are judged by the decisions they made to do this to themselves
I have a few friends that are seriously tatted up. They are good people.
That being said...in TODAY’S world appearance does matter and not many employers are going to hire folks that look like this. Think about it...you go to a doctor that has multiple peircings and face tattoos and it inspires confidence?
In the future if this trend continues things may change. If I were to apply for a job, I would make myself look as professional as possible. These folks can’t do that. Doesn’t mean they aren’t good people..just gives a potential employer pause.
“I thought wed be above judging people by the way they look. I guess I was wrong.”
You say that like tats are an accidental birthmark. People pay good money to have tats put on their hands, necks and heads so people will be forced to look at them, and thus, react to them. You plays, you pays.
We don't judge people based on the way they look when they can't help the way they look. When they choose to look a certain way we are entitled to judge them based on the way they have chosen to look.
