An ex-con came into the ER where I was working. He had the usual mess of prison tatts visible everywhere that clothes didn’t cover. Then I noticed something on his eyelids and asked him to close his eyes for a moment.

The left lid was inked “F**K” and the right lid “YOU”.

He was a real class act.

Well, I recall going into a Subway sandwich shop for lunch a few years back. The young guy making my sandwich had tattoos all up and down his arms... skulls, flames, etc. Watching those grotesque arms as they put together my sandwich, I wound up totally losing my appetite. Couldn’t manage to eat much of the resulting sandwich at all. Had to throw most of it away, into the garbage.

Don’t tattoo artists have any ethics? At some point, you’d think at least a few of would say, “I won’t do that. Go somewhere else.”

I can wait to see when the wooden plate in the lower lip becomes fashionable with these people.
