My cat was terrorized by a bird who kept dive bombing him (until we brought him inside for good, he was a bird catcher). The bird hated my cat so much that he would dive bomb him and when the cat ducked, the bird would land in front of him and try to peck his eyes out, then he’d fly up and do it all over again. The bird was fearless and the cat was terrorized. Considering my cat was a definite hunter, this was the strangest thing I’ve ever seen!

Let’s face it, birds are not the smartest animals. When we used to live on a boat, many boaters used to keep fake owls perched in the rigging to discourage the sea gulls from making themselves at home and crapping all over the deck. What was hilarious was seeing these “owls” after some time with their eyes gouged or picked out. I guess the sea birds thought if the owl couldn’t see them, they were safe!

Sounds like bluejays. They can become quite aggressive and crabby when out of almonds!
