Wearing open-toed high heels that are about 2 sizes too small doesn't do much for a gal, as can be seen in many of those photos.

Makes them look like they have massive, sasquatch feet.

Of course, some do.

lol

Also....I have noticed that wide faces and very broad smilies, ( which are fashionably popular now with TV and movie directors and magazine editors) are also associated with wide feet.

Wide faces go with wide feet. That is merely my anecdotal observation.

I can see why many of those pictured would be more comfortable in open toed strappy sandals. Closed toe shoes would be painful to wear pressing against those bunions.

Pointy toed high heels are an annuity for podiatrists. They probably subsidize high fashion designers with the stipulation that all current designs feature pointy toes and stiletto heels.

Oh, and podiatrists love flip flops as well because people are always walking out of them or tripping on them and hurting themselves. Better to walk barefooted, than wear flip flops.

A woman may not be very stylish, but she will be much more comfortable on her feet if she wears low heeled shoes with plenty of room to wiggle her toes when she’s young.

I mean, how many men do you know who have bunion problems?
