It isn’t a study, it’s a report. Just like the freeh report. freeh was hired by the PSU b.o.t. and interviewed 3 of the 18 most relevant witnesses in this case.
Wick Sollers and Dick Thornburgh (and others with FAR better reputations than freeh) were hired by the Paterno Family.
You act like freeh was still working for the FBI and this was some federal investigation. freeh is famous for incomplete investigations and unfounded conclusions. He just effed up FIFA a few years ago with the same nonsense. Pick the desired ending (for whoever is paying) and then gin up sketchy facts to support it.
Tomorrow, his report will likely be blown out of the water (it’s already dead in the water if it ever sees the inside of a court room).
I hope you’re tuned in. Maybe you’ll learn something.
"Pick the desired ending (for whoever is paying) and then gin up sketchy facts to support it."
Now, do you realize how ridiculous you sound touting the Paterno family's report?
As much as folks around here like to point out the obvious logical fallacy of liberals’ guilt by association tactics (e.g. NRA members have blood on their hands for gun-related crimes), threads like these illustrate the extent to which critical thinking is in short supply on all sides of the political spectrum. People are so easily influenced by an ESPN headline that seems to meet their preconceived notions. No wonder politicians make use of emotional appeals so often; it’s generally effective regardless of one’s political bent.
