things are moving in the opposite direction

Anything in particular make you say that? Living in the NAU isn't supposed to be an ideal situation so to me the opposite direction sounds pretty good.

It's puzzling to me that some of US can recognize the ongoing vigorous displacement of our culture and the wasting of our future generations by the oblique and incomprehensibly protected educators we grandly pay; and we can cringe as the elimination of our southern border continues unabated amidst the bureaucrats crowing lies of border stoutness and safety, while together we stand as witnesses to the complete disregard of our Constitution by those who took the oath to support and defend it.

That we can believe all those nefarious actions coupled with the hundreds of little murders inflicted regularly on our Liberty in State and Federal compromise sessions, that we can believe all that is happening and expect something completely opposite of the establishment of a corporate scientific dictatorship using the UN as the governmental model and enforcer of Order as a replacement system, well, I have to know more.

You ask: Anything in particular make you say that?

Yes, many things in particular and in general.

1. There is no stomach for a currency union. One only has to look at the Euro to know what a disaster that would be. Who in their right mind would want to contract out their monetary policy to those money printing maniacs in Washington?

2. Canadians are aghast at the third world status of your urban areas and want no part of it. If you want some personal observations on this, freepmail me.

3. Believe it or not, there is a strong strain of anti-Americanism in Canada. Any politician advocating a NAU would be expunged overnight.

4. There would be no advantage to a NAU for Canada. Absolutely none.

5. In general, rather than a larger political union in North America, I think the political situation in the US is close to spinning out of control. The last time that the dispute between the federal government and the states was this bad was in the 1860's. You know what happened then. I don't know where this "North American Union" stuff comes from. You hear absolutely none of it in Canada. With respect, I think you are the victim of some right wing paranoia. I can say that because, politically, I am slightly to the right of Rush.

I agree completely with the rest of your post.
