We lost our Belgian Tervuren "Larsen" last fall to gastric torsion at only age 6. RIP Larsen. He got on two bears up to no good that were messing with our house. One was about 60 lbs and the second was about 250 lbs. He came close to getting buttage as both were running and jumped over the railing on our deck. I had a shotgun as backup, but did not want to hurt the bears if it was not necessary.
RIP Larsen.

What a beautiful collie puppy! My favorite breed, along with GSDs. Wish I could have a dog again, but must make do with my cats!

Larsen was a beautiful dog. I’m sorry for your loss.

wow I am amazed at the photo of your dog, because now I think I know what the heck type of dog I have. She is a shelter dog, and still a mix, but she has a few very unusual features. Most prominent is her coloring, and a nose/muzzle like I’ve never seen. The only difference is her ears flop when not perked for listening. They had her billed as a “chow mix” but I don’t wonder if it is because her tongue is mostly black.

Such a very wonderful looking dog. His face is so warm and intelligent. It holds an expression of such faithfulness. So sorry you lost him at such a young age. I am sure The LORD is watching over him for you.
