Ditto. Extra points if it’s chopped. I use three or four of those but had no idea they were hip related. For instance I’m pretty sure yard as slang for a grand predates the beats by a lot time.

Went away on my honeymoon with my brother-in-law's big Linc bad enough without changing anything -- except the jugs, headers, and glasspaks ...

Philologists say slang comes from criminal or fringe subcultures, which used publicly long enough becomes popularized, hence passe. You probably don't know the current terms unless you're "with it." I don't.

But as a Texan, you know "big one" = $1000 and "Big Money" = Beaumont. TX = oil, right?
