A pickup truck is riddled with bullets after officers opened fire in Torrance on Tuesday morning, wounding two women who were delivering newspapers. The women's vehicle is similar to the one suspect Christopher Jordan Dorner is believed to be driving.

Reports say he ditched his own license plate and is using a presumably stolen one. And I can imagine the cops are jumpy, because Dorner was pretty clear that he plans to shoot anyone trying to stop him.

Still doesn't excuse the trigger-happy response, though. Not in the slightest.

Reminds me during the DC Sniper shootings everyone with a white van was being stopped. Supposedly Dorner might have taken off his original license plate and put on a different one. I wouldnt be surprised if he has already switched cars. Everyone is looking for it I doubt he is stupid enough to be driving around in it. I dont know the hell the police could make a mistake by thinking that two women in a car could be this guy.
