He is indeed worse, and I think one huge reason is because the system of checks and balances, not to mention the outrage is absent or not being paid attention to. We’ve become entirely too accustomed to outrageous and even illegal behavior from those in the public eye-they are no longer held to a higher standard, but a lesser one...
