OK, so the one adult flew off and is now back with some dead animal, not sure what. Is this the momma or the daddy? I thought the males would look like this, but I have a lot of learning to do. Are the females as beautifully colored as this one?

The females are larger than the males. You can distinguish Ozzie from Harriet by the white speckles on his back near his neckline. Other than that and their size difference, they appear nearly identical. The speckles of white on his back near his collar is the major telltale sign.

Ozzie is the designated provider of food, but if he's having a slow day of fishing, Harriet will take it upon herself to go out and get a fish or road kill, etc.. She has done that a few times.

That looks like dad on nest right now feeding in Florida.
Dad is smaller. They both look alike. White heads. Babies don’t get their white heads for 5 years. They mate usually for life.

Unlike most birds, bald eagle females are marked nearly identical to the males. Males being more ‘showy’ does not apply here.
