“Wild Thing” is truly an iconic song.

RIP Mr Presley

Although I am a child of the late 1970s-early 1980s the Troggs had some really good tunes that got better with time. You can hear their influence in later bands

The violins are haunting, the video cool, music from my childhood, some songs sound better every day. RIP...

This version actually charted in the early weeks of 1967, rising to #20 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also got a lot of airplay in the spring of 1968.

Wild Thing--Senator Bobby

This is the flip side. Barry, Rocky, Ronnie and Dick are in the backup band.

Wild Thing--Senator Everett McKinley

No more Tupelo Presleys.

“Wild Thang” was composed, in case you didn’t know, by the brother of the previous owner of the Chrysler Lebaron convertible I happen to drive. (He also composed “Angel of the Mourning”, and a lot of other less known things, as well as discovered Carrie Rodriguez, whom you must check out!)
