If it were truly for SAFETY, there would be a modest fine (such as in this case $10.00 to maintain equipment) and A LOT of points on your license.
Of course, under the setup, you need MORE lawbreakers in order to be able to pay for the equipment and the company that either ‘gifts or loans’ it to you. THEY don’t want the people to EVER stop speeding or running lights. Once that happens, the game is over.
I was at a truck stop and some ‘old guy’ was walking around the parking lot with a broom and a dust pan on a long stick, picking up trash.
I got out of my vehicle, with the remnants of my last stop, coffe cup, sandwich bag etc and deposited it in one of the MANY trash cans around. The guy ‘thanked me’ and I told him, “Don’t thank me, if ALL people were like me YOU wouldn’t have a job, so you want all the slobs and pigs in the world to throw trash on the ground”. He said “gee, never thought of it like that before”. On the way back to my truck I dropped some trash on the ground for him...and he THANKED ME.
Funny, they lie in wait in the more affluent zip codes. I don't see them hanging around down in the barrios.
