Pretty big find....Kinnick one of the legendary Heisman winners. His acceptance speech was extraordinary...basically predicting the escalation of WW II and upcoming world events...no “dumb jock” here.
And probably the most well known athlete to give up his life for his country in WW II.
I would consider it an honor to have gone to a HS named after Kinnick.
Nile Kinnick hoped to run for Governor of Iowa as a Republican. His grandfather had been Governor from 1913-1917. Many speculate that he could have been a Presidential contender.
