So has Bawney Fwank announced he's running for Kerry's seat yet, or is he enjoying himself too much at home with Dude these days?

*barf*

“There apparently is some sort of virus attacking the New England brain.”

Well done KB!

My 2 cents on this: I'm not surprised given that Brown was just fired not even three months ago. I'll also predict that he will not run for governor in 2014. Why? It's a thankless job. Plus Mitten's defeat shows that although he was a governor, being the governor of this state is a negative in national politics.

Looking at the two RATS that are running is a bit interesting. Overall, Lynch is not only more conservative on the issues than Markey, but he's more conservative than Brown is/was. Brown-Lynch would have been an interesting match up. But, since this electorate just voted for Princess Fauxcahontas, I guess we'll be seeing a “Senator Markey” soon.

Take solace, Boston sports fans: Massholechusetts can reclaim the title of “State with the two worst US Senators” once again.

yay...

I think Brown would have likely won if not for Obama on top of the ticket and so many RAT voters turning out to blindly vote straight ticket Dem. He would have won if it was another midterm election. Like Governor Bob Ehrlich of Maryland, they were "popular" while in office and both were essentially "fired" for having an "R" next to their name and being on the ballot in a hugely Dem state in a year when partisan Dems turned out. The problem is liberals will blindly vote for ANY RAT much more loyally than conservatives will vote for any "R".

I still think California (which has had Babs Boxer & Feinstein as co-Senators since forever) could seriously contest that title, as could NJ (which has gone thru many Senators in recent years, but they've always been ultra-corrupt socialists, the latest disgraces being Bob "underage prostitutes" Menendez and Frank Lautencorpse.

For "State with worst Senators that shouldn't even be there in the first place because the state is not that leftist", it's a tie between Alaska's duo, DIABLO Lisa Murkowski and Mark "I got this job because my GOP predecessor was indicted on bogus charges" Begich, and Virginia's duo, the ex-RAT Governors Mark "don't call me John" Warner & Tim "the eyebrow" Kaine.

Martha Coakley was an exceptionally weak candidate. She laughed at Brown for campaigning in person outside Fenway Park. She took time off from the campaign to to Washington DC for fundraising or house hunting or staff poaching or shmoozing (I forget which).

Of course, this wasn't apparent when Scott started his campaign. It took guts for him to run when few thought he would win. But he wouldn't be a likely winner this time by any means. His potential opponents would all be tougher than Coakley.

I suspect Scott Brown is tired. If he ran this time and run, he'd have to run again next year when Kerry's term expires. Four elections in four years would be draining for anybody.

Lynch voted 95% of the time with Obama. He’s no conservative democrat. Lynch is pro-life though, so I’ll give him that.

I like Scott Brown,
He took some brave votes for the GOP in the Senate.
Those who think that Cruz would have beat Warren in MA are delusional.

He also made some horrific votes against the GOP.

But, he was the best this People’s Republic could come up with.

“He’s no conservative democrat.”

He’s the closest to an American the MA delegation has. Not that I’d vote for him, I don’t vote for RATS, period.
