More housework, less sex for married men: study

The road to hell is paved with good intentions, as they say: the more housework married men do, the less sex they have, according to a new study published Wednesday.

Husbands who spend more time doing traditionally female chores -- such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping -- reported having less sex than those who do more masculine tasks, said the study in the American Sociological Review.

I do all the cooking..I like to cook, am quite good at it, and she hates to cook. She enjoys a drink before dinner, and after the meal, I go sit down and she does all the dishes and cleaning up. Perfect arrangement.

It's NOT the frequency of the sex, it's the quality, the intensity of it.

They should try the "Italian position"..man on top, woman in the kitchen..

And a well fed slightly buzzed wife who was fed a good meal she didn’t have to cook seems to me like a wife ready for some action!

I don't put much faith in studies like this - every couple that has been married for a sufficiently long time has worked out their own "arrangements".

I do the dishes, pots, pans, all of them. I run the dishwasher and put everything away afterward. I also take out the garbage and make the weekly dump run. I handle all of the plumbing, electrical and hardware issues in the house. I even share the cooking and grilling and do a load of laundry every now and then. Why? So I never have to clean the damn toilets, sinks or bathtubs. She never even asks.

read the study - Men in the study reported having had sex an average of 5.2 times in the month prior to the survey, while women reported 5.6.

while the husband is cleaning the house, the wife is out having sex........how else can you explain the differences in number of time each had sex!

Per God's plan for mankind, Men are supposed to defend and provide for the family and women are supposed to maintain the nest and nurture the babies.

How did we do? FAIL, FAIL, FAIL AND FAIL

Consequences abound. Impossible to list them all. We're way past the point of getting back to God's plan for us. Females traded in motherhood for the workplace; MISTAKE. It all went downhill from there, including males losing their unique role as the provider.

The few times I try it the Mrs just sits down and gleefully gets caught up on her fb and emails, then falls asleep on the couch.
