the part that worries me is “Creating an effective employment verification system to ensure that employers do not hire illegal immigrants.”

THAT, to Me, reads like a National ID system for ALL working age people.
Putting “ID cards” Hagel into office just add to my worry.

Fellow FReepers, I sent a pointed email to my congressional reps this afternoon using Congress.org stating my opposition to the proposed framework for immigration reform. After that, I am no longer gettin notices from Congress.org that thanks me for using them and including the text of the email I sent. Has anyone ever been banned from Congress.org?

This is an outrage. The elites that run the media are ramming this down our throats just as they are trying to do with gun control.

Now the GOP can’t vote for amnesty fast enough because they think it will make them competitive. What we need is a third America First Party and it would both of them out of business.

Both Parties are corrupt and in the bag of global corporations and banksters and other countries. They’ve used and abused us for too long. They play conservatism or liberalism as a “theory” when it allows them to manipulate and pull our strings. The same people that want amnesty for illegals want your firearms too.

Larry Kudlow the “club for growth” hack of CNBC and Wall St said tonight that we need this. It’s pro growth. No Larry..... it’s pro globalism and it will screw America to the tune of trillions just as our trade policies have done. But Larry is a card carrying member of the New Yorker elite club and he won’t pay.....the rest of the USA will.

How is this to help with unemployment? I am tired of my elected reps looking out for illegals rather than their own citizens. It’s is way past time for states to begin succeeding. Let the North Eastern and California liberals take on the burden of illegal immigrants and let the rest of the country alone.

How you philosophically jump from illegally entering a sovereign foreign country, living there underground for years -- most likely in violation of a host of other laws in addition to having made false identifications to get anything done....all the way to BEING GRANTED CITIZENSHIP FOR THAT WRONGED, VIOLATED AND INSULTED COUNTRY!??

Why this is just absolutely ludicrous. Illegally entering the US should be immediate grounds for never being eligible to be a citizen of it.

THIS IS SHEER INSANITY AND VIEWED FROM A GLOBAL CONTEXT, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS SIMPLY OUT OF ITS MIND TO EVEN ENTERTAIN THE IDEA OF ALLOWING THIS AT SOME TIME.

PS I hope we can see someone get into the inside of the Democratic National Committee headquarters as a plant for a year or two, gain confidence, and then spirit out what MUST BE the existence of their internal DNC demographic plans showing that by naturalizing massive numbers of illegal aliens from entitled Third World Nations (mostly Latin America) they can turn themselves into an unchallenged majority party with interrupted power for years. There MUST be such a report. To have a Conservative Republican Congressman release it in public at JUST THE RIGHT TIME would be brilliant. And we know precisely this is their plans, the RINOs going along with it like sleep to the slaughter, lobbying for their own extinction. Madness!! Shame on Rubio for falling in with this crowd. It will bring our Party NO GOOD and it will bring out country a WORLD OF HEARTACHE .

Got this response from my libtard senator when I registered my aggravation that we are having this debate, yet again...

“Thank you for getting in touch with me about immigration reform. I agree that our immigration system is broken.

It is time we undertake comprehensive immigration reform that secures our borders, maximizes American economic prosperity, provides a path to citizenship with fair and rigorous requirements, and imposes tough sanctions on employers who break the law.

I support efforts to curb illegal immigration such as increasing criminal penalties for immigrant smuggling and document fraud and eliminating or modifying the use of government documents that are easily forged. Better enforcement and tougher penalties for employers who employ undocumented immigrants are among the important steps we must take to fight unlawful employment opportunities — the major driving force behind illegal immigration.

While I do not support amnesty, I believe our nation should consider establishing a process by which undocumented immigrants can eventually earn citizenship. We should provide children — who were brought to this country through no fault of their own — the opportunity to contribute to their local communities and our nation.

The solution to our immigration problem will not be a simple one, but it is time to take a common sense approach to immigration reform.

Thank you again for being in touch with me.”

FReeEEeePED:

NOPE!

We know how “amnesty” turned out last time!! There will be NO deal to “secure” the border — whatever that means.

Yes, with an emphasis on the pathway to legal status for illegal immigrants who are here 8.31%

Yes, but any deal must secure the border 45.83%

Congress should address this through a series of bills, as opposed to one massive package 18.66%

No — there’s no need for it, and Congress won’t get it done anyway 27.2%
