I have had to navigate similar waters off the coast of Washington in my 60 foot Ocean....pretty scary stuff...I was thinking the same thing.
Fishing off the Columbia River bar near Ilwaco WA. Biggest waves I had ever experienced. Everyone got sick except the boat crew.
