a wig....hmm, she has always looked like she is wearing a wig, nevermind the humidity, her hair is always perfect...only answer is a wig. male pattern baldness perhaps?
oh, I would pay money to know that.
I’ve been told by people who would know that wigs are often worn by black women. More so than other ethnicities.
So many celebrity/public figure type women seem to wear wigs or hairpieces now-I swear I haven’t seen so many worn since the early 70’s, and then I even had a wig and a couple of little updo hairpieces.
Michelle Antoinette likely wears wigs to get a “look” without having to change her own hair constantly, like a lot of female stage performers do. Madonna and Dolly Parton come to mind-and that one who looks like a
Barbie doll gone wrong-Nicki something-or another
Michelle Obama has several wigs. See how easily she switches from the little knot on the back of her head to a full blown page boy. Check out some of her vacaation sequences such as when she took the whole family to England their first summer.
I’m told that most black women wear wigs frequently. It saves on struggling with kinky hair. I borrowed a wig one time when a friend wanted me to go out to dinner on short notice. It was miserable — very tight on my skull and itched. It felt like a tight, rubber swim cap. I decided that I’d never buy one, even though I have lots of challenging hair days.
My more stylish friend informs me that michelle’s hair do is called a “Brazilian Blow Cut” and is all the rage among the hollywood set. There is something about that name that sounds a little slimy.
