My dad, who was a Navy doc in WW2 (Pacific) and Korea, used to say he was not so sure some of the women nurses were women...but there was no doubt that those who were, were! :-)

My mother is a nurse - so is my wife and mother of my children. I have a pretty good idea both are women.
