This just in: Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and "the Evil Empire" didn't make it to the Super Bowl.
OK, maybe you're up on the latest postseason news. But you might have missed the latest on the Pro Football Hall of Fame, where Brady will reside when it's all said and done. Ditto Belichick.
Not all of the former players and contributors who were recently named to the Hall's list of finalists are that cut and dried. Take one of the headliners: Michael Strahan. Great player? No doubt. First-ballot Hall of Famer? We'll get to that.

Absolutely amazing that Cris Carter is not in the Hall of Fame.
We’re talking the NFL’s fourth all-time leading receiver, fourth all-time touchdown receiver, eighth all-time touchdown scorer, eight-time Pro Bowler, and four-time All Pro. Oh, and he’s one of the best possession receivers ever to play the game.
Since the NFL only allows a maximum of seven entrants a year, including two veterans, it’s hard. But still.
will go to Canton to see me inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame!
