That can be partially written off to the urge to be first to get the story on TV. But now little of the original reporting was proven to be correct (perps name, mother's job, father's fate firearms used etc). Yet, the variations of the story do not add-up even now.
The only thing that has been clear cut is the rush to use this event in a call to ban assault weapons (whatever they are), hi capacity magazines and watching the libs angst and hand-wringing on TV
It was absolutely obscene the way pols, including POTUS, rushed to microphones before those babies’ bodies were even removed from the classrooms. Just obscene.
