I think it would be misleading to describe a hydrocracking unit as a crude catalytic cracker. It is more complex producing higher grade material with more hydrogen content. It does more than just crack into smaller molecules, it also builds new hydrogen bonds to the products.

The box on the flow charts I posted above represent more than a single vessel. For example:
