I wonderin if this is connected.
For years I’ve gotten my weather info from the National Weather Service site, they were more accurate than other weather sites I’d found, plus no ads and stupid graphics.
Then a couple of months or so ago (?), they changed the NWS site and made it somewhat stupider looking, and now I notice the predictions of temps are way, way off. Up to 10 to 15 degrees warmer than what my thermometer on the porch says.
Odd.
That's because they ignored my comments (and those of others) about the proposed changes, which were solicited, prior to doing what they had already determined they were going to do, no matter what anyone told them.
If you go to their interactive local radar display page, the actual display has a much smaller footprint on the page than it used to. They downsized it a bit once when they changed how the display controls worked about a year ago; then they downsized it again since then. The initial coverage area is the same in each iteration, but it is squeezed into a smaller Flash window.
