More than likely they searched his vehicle and the trunk and found that shotgun before going into the school.

That doesn't make any sense. Cops are responding to an active shooter in a school with hundreds of kids. I find it unlikely they will stop and search a car that has a yet unknown link to the crime prior to going into the school to take out the shooter.

The statement prior makes it even more unusual:

9:53:25: “Newtown’s reporting one suspect down. The building has now been cleared.”

9:55:25: “Be advised, we have multiple weapons. One rifle and a shotgun”

Suppose they did find the shotgun prior to entering the school. They they find a dead Lanza who killed himself with a pistol. Why not report "multiple weapons - a rifle, shotgun and two pistols"?

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but from the beginning I've found it strange that everyone says that the .223 would be the weapon of choice for this when clearly it would be the semi-auto 12ga shotgun. The only reason I can see Lanza not using it because it would probably have knocked him on his ass. But then, why bring it?

<> find it unlikely they will stop and search a car<>

Look at the picture of the location of his car at wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandy_Hook_Elementary_School_shooting

His black Honda was parked 20 feet from the entrance in a marked off No Parking Zone and stood out as unusual. It could have had someone hiding in it or explosive charges attached. They had to check it first. If they didn’t it would have been negligent of them.

Also there were 13 local police responding — while some were chasing the guy into the woods, others were checking the vehicle, and others were entering the school.

<>Why not report “multiple weapons - a rifle, shotgun and two pistols”?<>

They could have but they didn’t. They were still searching the building and probably expected to find more weapons.

What surprises me here is that some say that initial reports are the most trustworthy and therefore they cling to the NBC report as if it is Gospel because it was first.

Well it wasn’t first. This police dispatch was recorded LIVE and published the same day — a day before the erroneous “4 handgun” NBC report.

So if initial reporting is so trustworthy to these people then why aren’t they accepting the initial reporting???
