I am not an expert on gun types, although I have shot many and know the ones I have shot, so don't kill the messenger if I mess this thread up!
My husband went to Dicks Sporting Goods and Herb Phillipson's in search of a Mossberg 702 or a Rueger 10 Flash 22, both 22 calibre's with 10 round clips and both stores were all out. He asked if there was a run on what my husband called "a gun he wished to buy for his daughter." Both store managers told him their corporate offices made them send all of these 22's back to the company, as they had 10 round clips. My husband had the law printed out from Gov. Cuomo's office showing them that these could be purchased up until April 1st. Both managers said their company tells them what to do and the company was concerned with "liability". So my husband said will you be getting these back with a 7 round clip? AND THE ANSWER WAS "NO, NO MANUFACTURER IS GOING TO MAKE A 7 ROUND CLIP JUST FOR NY, THEY'LL SEND US THE 5 ROUND THEY ALREADY MAKE!" Did Cuomo know this? (I ask because he's an idiot). Is this his sneaky way of getting NY down to 5 round clips and gun dealers already sending away guns they don't have to through "liability" intimidation?
Yes, seven rounds was purposefully chosen everything over 5 rounds.
i doubt they are hardcore libs.
hardcore libs would never have sold guns in the first place.

Then you don’t get the left at all (with all due respect). They use our laws and buy up businesses to be used against us. Al Gore just sold his TV Chan (Current) for PetroDollars.....while touting “Save The Earth”. Obama/Holder walked guns to drug cartels while preaching gun control. Obama HATES him some “Big Banks”.....except they’re contributing to his campaign. Etc, etc.
The other East Coat Donkey governors will help Barry when they implement draconian gun laws in MA and MD as they have in NY. People are choosing up sides and things are like playing with matches in a room full of black powder.
“Yes, seven rounds was purposefully chosen everything over 5 rounds.”
Try loading 7 rounds into a Garand.
Holy Moly!!! I can’t believe how nice those houses are for so little money! It’s shocking!
Since I’m going to learn to shoot tomorrow I had to go find ammo today - which wasn’t easy. Finally found a gun store that had some and the place had a line at the door literally - I guess it was an occupancy regulation or something. Took me about 20 minutes to get inside.
Yes I know. They sell two and five round clips, but the gun still has an 8 round mag (depending on how you define mag).
>>>hardcore libs would never have sold guns<<<
Al Gore is a hardcore lib and just sold his cable channel for millions in Middle East oil money.
Hollywood is overwhelmingly liberal and they sell violence first and foremost.
Liberal politicians and strategists leave public service in a twinkling whenever a sufficient wad of cash is waived their way.
Obama is a bitter, spiteful, racist liberal and yet he fills his cabinet with elitist, often rich white men.
Liberals don’t give a crap for principle where money and power are involved, i.e. everywhere.
But the original Colt .45 ACP was 7-round magazine.
The Garand device is called an “en bloc clip”.
Different from a magazine, and different from a stripper clip.
please don’t try to clump the upstate NYers with downstate. For many years we wanted to separate from down state. The downstate metrosexuals don’t understand us (hunters and fishermen) from upstate.
There are two stores I will boycott for life.
I went to get a concealed w class last Sat at local gun store..first come, first served..class at 10am..got there at 9:20...no space. Guy said if I had come 3 Sat’s ago, I would have been on time.
Last Sat they had 130 people in line at 7am!
I believe that Dickhead Sporting Goods is also affiliated with Golf Galaxy, so drop them from your shopping excursions as well.
No Ruger 07/22 for NY only?
Violence? Naahh. Not here. Prepare for tough times? Yep. Got 1st of 2 reloading supplies shipments yesterday. It amazes me how little reloadable brass is out there in popular calibers (not just .223). And had to hunt to find the new loading press and dies I wanted.I noticed that in order to have ammo and brass several of the suppliers were importing Partizan Ammo. Have read it is OK. (Serb) At least they have inventory (did not buy any)
I am positioning myself to have enough ammo for my 2 Winchester lever rifles (94 &71) and our 30/06's. I was able to find some hard to get new brass for the .348 and some nice Hornady Leverevolution 200gr bullets.
I wonder what they’re doing with the guns when they make it back?
Probably not destroying them ... more likely shipping them (or storing them for future shipment) to places like Texas and Kentucky where they’re in greater demand right now.
I don’t have a problem with them doing that. New Yorkers deserve the government they elected. Sucks for those who didn’t vote for Cuomo ... and especially those who lack the means to leave the state for one that’s more 2nd-Amendment friendly.
I also don’t have a problem with them storing the guns in inventory for a while to allow the market values to increase. Sucks for people wanting to purchase guns, but that’s how a market economy works.
Wow - thank God we’re not being passive about this.
That violence might turn into a civil war and King Obama will regret it.
Move to a free country.
“Suggestion: Move out of that Hell-hole before the wall goes up. Real estate prices in Dallas/Ft Worth, for instance, would blow your mind! And jobs galore.”
Shhhhhhhh. Don’t give them any ideas. We have enough of
those northeastern redcoat commie types moving down here
already. All they will do is whine about the heat and vote
for the first Obama type that promises them free a/c . The last thing Texas needs is to be polluted by
the liberal vote.
