We had a horse that could pretty much open anything.
He also loved to fill his mouth with water and spit it down the back of my neck while I was working, especially when I was welding.

We had a mare who could pick any lock.She was in season and picked her stall door,then walked to the stallion’s door and let herself in.The next year she had a colt.

When I was a kid, dad had a mule that could open most barn doors.
Most horses are very good at opening latches as opposed to locks. We use carabiners, haven’t found a horse that can handle one of those - when they get their lip caught in it, they quit trying.
