Who is the “Judas on our side” who betrayed her? The author doesn’t say, and utterly he fails to make the case that she was “betrayed.”
As a politician, she is damaged goods - as a Rush Limbaugh-like media figure, however, she retains the ability to do immense damage to the Left. If she is going to emerge from her "exile", that is the first direction she should take.
Kudos to Lloyd Marcus, but he errs in assuming that the GOP is on the same side as conservatives—It is not.

Don’t assume Shahanshah Obama will allow another election.
The permanent government, which is Social Democrat in thought and self-preserving above all has been holding off the Right vs. Left death match for a generation, or more.
They have invented a group they call "moderates", who don't really exist.
Bush's "compassionate conservatism", Clinton's "big government is over", Kerry's "reporting for duty" were all examples of pandering to the "middle of the road voter".
Left-wing extremists won the intra-party battle first, and, guess what? They nominated someone with no background, no qualifications, and extreme views, and cruised to victory. TWICE.
Why? Because the "moderates" are really idiots, fat, lazy morons who were waiting, not for someone to kiss their asses but for someone to tell them what the hell to do, what was cool, what direction was up.
Now, we have two alternatives, assuming more Bushes, McCains, Romneys, Doles, Fords are not an option.
We can give up, and enlist as a minority, powerless party in the Marxist Grand Coalition Obama is trying to build, OR, we can go hard right, fight for America like she meant something to us, trade blow for blow and slur for slur, and bet it all on the idea that America is not really communist at heart.
If there's a third way, I don't see it.
I think there are forces trying to ruin her family life. Make her look like “white trash”.
She's a mother of 5, including one later-in-reproductive-life-conceived Downs child. That's Reader's Digest level interest stuff not national political leadership stuff. She needs to be where she can continue to be a mother to a Downs child, not do that while she's trying to go through morning intelligence briefings on managing responses to global terrorism. Santorum's family illness matters during his campaign distracted him for much the same reason.
The family side-show Palin's daughter Bristol provided, not only during 2008 with her love-baby but "Dancing" around since then has been a complete human-level distraction suitable only for tabloid fare. That's the kind of thing that unfairly perpetuates the "hick" factor.
Palin was/is a Reagan-esque voice as much as is Santorum, but both have had way too much family baggage distractions to have ever made either of them effective as our nation's top-Leader. Each should be leading their respective families and tending to their family matters. Where political futures are concerned both of them politically would do best in the Senate.
Don't get me wrong. We need the Reagan-esque voice, not so much from a mother of 5 who made family raising an (admirable) priority, but from a male voice who leads and speaks in a polished fashion (Perry led, can't speak in a polished fashion).
That's your next Reagan.
Palin should challenge Begich in 2014 for the Senate run in AK, and form conservative coalitions when she gets there with House bill sponsors and make peer alliances with conservative tigers like Cruz and Paul.
She'll be plenty effective there even as Jim DeMint was, and she'll still be able to have the time and attention to continue to be an effective mom -- same for Santorum if he ever has a chance to get back in the Senate too.

Conservative Party. The GOP is going the way of Chris Christie.
Sarahcuda scared the republicans because she wasn’t afraid to take them out if they screwed up.
Well, of course we would expect the left wing press to go after her. No surprise there.
But she was persistently betrayed by the Karl Rove, the RINO establishment, and the so-called conservative pundits.
And she was betrayed by Juan McCain and Mitt Romney, who lent McCain a couple of operatives whose chief purpose was to rein in and undermine Sarah and make sure she never got a chance to really get out there and address the voters.
And this last time around, she was betrayed again by the Romneybots, and even by such folks as Ann Coulter and Matt Drudge, who smeared and lied about her and the other conservative candidates in order to nominate their wonderful choice, Mitt Romney, who then preceded to blow the election against a nearly unelectable candidate.
The problem, of course, is that not many people actually know who Sarah is. Only those who have read her books or heard her speak, or who have REALLY been paying attention.
Indeed, she displayed a record of standing up firmly against corruption in her own Party... one of the first clues for me that she wasn’t yet another common, garden-variety political hack. This is a special kind of leader. 95% or more of all politicians tend to be beholden to varied interests, from unions to corporate buddies to Party machines to media adulation to any number of moneyed interests. Palin expressed and demonstrated loathing for all that crap, answering only to the people in her state, guided strictly by the Constitution. A rarity. Practically an “anti-politician.” And exactly what I want in a leader.

Out Alinsky Alinsky. Get onto the mud and go after them. Saturate the media with anti communist slogans and propaganda. Treat every liberal as an idiot. And tell them to their faces that they are idiots while smiling.
We have a Tea Party that can be at the forefront. They should have been out there in 2012, visible and on the attack. We should have destroyed the RINOS in the primaries and when the media went after our conservative candidates, told them to shut up and worry about their commie candidate.
Politics is a blood sport and we play it like it is a checkers match. We are the ones with the guns. The pen isn’t always mightier than the sword.
Sarah Palin - lovely Sarah Palin - was targeted by Alinsky-folks, demonized, and destroyed.

This means that she was, and is today, a formidable, prophetic voice for all that is True. The clarion call of Truth always cuts through the muck, always rings true, and is always a threat to those with evil intentions.

I also wonder how much petty jealousy also played in the trashing of Sarah by so-called conservatives. After all, not only was she an excellent speaker, she was beautiful, athletic, and had a good-looking husband, who apparently was squeaky clean (or we would have heard about any gossip) and who was very supportive of her.
Sadly conservatives (and republicans who care), are left without a national voice to challenge the lib agenda. They are left without a rallying point. All the crazy things the libs say on the national platform, are left unanswered/unchallenged.
