Most comedians would kill to create a character which impacted not just his or her own career but the national conversation.
Others, like Tina Fey, would rather not be reminded of their creation - assuming said creation is former Gov. Sarah Palin.

Tina Fey couldn’t be Sarah Palin if she tried..Tina Fey is a poor imitation and a lousy human being. Sarah Palin is happy, something that libs just cant sand

    What a pretty girl.
What an ugly soul.

A fair question is how much of Tina Fey’s success is due to her imitation of Sarah Palin? I would say it had quite an impact and that she owes a debt of gratitude to Sarah Palin.

To: plain talk
Here's a credibility test for her. She always said that she never wanted to portray Palin. Did somebody hold a gun to her head? If Palin ever makes another run at a political office, will Fey be there doing what the libs love? I think we all know the answer to that one.

I remember her doing ‘Weekend Updates’ of material that she obviously wrote. The (libs in the) audience would laugh and she’d give this snug little “aren’t I so funny” look. Gagghggggg

So why did she pat herself on the back for it at the Golden Globes?

Like Jane Fonda, this gal enjoyed her “fame” at the expense of others. If you’ll recall, it wasn’t just her appearance, it was her comments that went along with it that caused the problem and the long-lasting impression. Live long, Tina, and we’ll remember as long as you do.

She did admit to writing the classic “Colonel Angus” sketch but Christoper Walken was the only reason it came off.

Tina, if you hadn't ridiculed Sarah Palin, you'd be working checkout at Kmart by now.
You were a has-been until she came along. Now everyone on the left loves you for helping them hate Palin.

In my studied opinion, Tina Fey is a one trick pony, and the luckiest day of her life was when somebody gave her the gig of being a smartass low class imitation of Sarah Palin.
Others may disagree, but I don’t think she ever did anything of merit BEFORE Sarah came on the scene, and EVERY TIME I’ve seen her ANYWHERE in the last 4 1/2 years she was simpering around and posturing in an attempt to REMIND EVERYONE of her one trick. So I think this faux complaint of hers is pure horse hockey!

We should, forevermore, refer to her as, a Sarah Palin would-be.

And attribute to her, Sarah Palin envy.

She could end up being annoyed to death, if anytime anyone saw her, they all remarked about how much she looks like Sarah Palin.

And, worst of all, we could remind her that, Sarah Palin has had real jobs, while Tina has always pretended to be someone else.

Julianne Moore ended her Globe acceptance speech with, 'and a shout out to Tina Fey and Katy Kouric for
changing the 2008 presidential election.' How I would have loved to have slapped her.

It’s true, she said that from the start, and she was already off SNL by that point, but she did owe. Lot to Lorne Michaels. I don’t know if he has any involvement with 30 Rock, but he could still make life better for her. And, frankly, who else could they get? People were making the comparison while the show was in summer reruns.

From what we know of Tina Fey I’ll worry about Sarah when she starts impersonating Tina Fey.
