Lugar wasn’t just a RINO - he was to the left of most Democrats ....to the left of Hagel. He still had influence because of his yrs in the Senate and was therefore a dangerous man in the Senate.

I voted for Mourdock in the primary, but Old Lugie was an 80% Republican.
Now we got a 97% Baraqqi for 6 years.
Even a casual observer like myself realized from listening to Rush Limbaugh that JournoList Stephanopolus signaled the “war on women” theme in the first R pres debate.
