Last night it snowed on me while I was walking, this morning DH had to shovel and clean off the cars. Enough already. The only one dumping on us more than the skies is theWon.
Good Morning! Class is in session, take your seats....
NY Governor Cuomo was in such a hurry to pass a new anti gun law that he didn’t notice our police officers cannot have a gun with more than 7 bullets either. Nice. Hope the bad guys abide by the law, then all will be fair.
I have a farrago of Dr. Who DVDs to watch while on the treadmill so I don’t have to wait for today’s episode on the Beeb at 9am CST. 24 here and frosty.
That’s a city in North Dakota, right?
No, it’s a movie by the Coen brothers.
I had an unexpected dusting of snow on my car this morning. Expecting some serious arctic cold next week.
Good morning. Must ship off a farrago of requests to my mom in California. She really keeps me hopping. Today’s box should include toothpaste, Woolite, another pair of glasses. The glasses she loved last week are suddenly too weak and too large.
She’s in assisted living, and she spends her time thinking up new hoops for me to jump through. And she’s picky about where you shop! (Walgreens is too expensive — go to the Dollar store, as if the Dollar store always has what you want, or is convenient!)
This week I’ve sent her pounds of candy (she bribs her aides), Kleenex, (dozens of boxes — all sizes) a large print dictionary, a large print Thesaurus, a crossword puzzle book, and a memoir by Frank McCourt in large print, plus several pieces of her mail that were forwarded here. You never hear back about what is right that you’ve sent — only what is wrong.
The voices cascade, a farrago
That resounds in blue towns like Chicago
“Barack’s not a liar
He’s God, The Messiah”
He’s a fake and his wife’s a *virago
Noun
1.A domineering, violent, or bad-tempered woman.
2.A woman of masculine strength or spirit; a female warrior.
Synonyms
shrew - vixen - termagant - scold
You could save shipping costs by using Drugstore.com. Free shipping for orders over $25. A lot easier to point and click than traipse all over town.
Who needs to sit at the front of the bus?
It’s not about needs, it’s about rights. And since when do we need to justify our wants and needs. We are free citizens not subjects.
Next stop: Police will be reduced to one bullet, like Barney Fife.
What a great idea! I’ve been using the flat rate Priority shipping from the USPS which I don’t really think gets there any faster, although the boxes are free. But, I suspect that the rates are going up on Jan. 27th. All the other postal rates are. Get your Forever stamps now!
We have the most amazing service in a nearby town. The Post Office there has a self serve kiosk where you can mail your packages 24 hours a day using a touch screen to figure and print your postage. I don’t know any other Post Office that has this service. The outer lobby is open 24 hours a day7 days a week for access to the PO boxes. The touch screen machine and supplies are there. I’ve mailed packages at 2 AM. They get picked up at the regular times, but I don’t have to stand in line.

Absolutely terrific comments. Rosa Parks didn't need to sit at the front of the bus. The only one who needs to is the driver.
"Farrago", a story about a horse race, right?
I have a nice wood chipper into which I would like to feed the entire farrago of the Lyin’ King’s EO’s.
Good luck with all that. We finally got my mom to buy a washer/dryer unit for her apartment so she doesn’t constantly need help doing her wash. Should be installed tomorrow.
