Shooting Range No Longer Welcomes Burlington Police

Range says it can't support a city that threatens constitutional freedoms

Published 2:40 PM EST Jan 17, 2013

BURLINGTON, Vt. —The Burlington Police Department is getting caught in the crossfire between Burlington City Council and Second Amendment advocates.

A shooting range in Morrisville, Vt. is no longer letting Burlington Police officers train there.

The Lamoille Valley Fish and Game Club voted on the issue, saying it can no longer support a city that is threatening constitutional freedoms.

The range is right! Cops who oppose the 2nd Amendment should not be allowed to use it themselves.

Letting the police use the club WAS a good idea—keeping on good terms between local hunters and police.

But this is the right thing to do, too.

Vermont is very liberal, but it is also very pro-gun. It has the least restrictive gun laws in the country, for the moment at least.

There’s a sign on the road as you approach the capital, Montpelier, saying no rifle shooting beyond within city boundaries. Only shotguns allowed!

That’s probably because the wild turkeys are sometimes seen in people’s backyards.

The Boulder Rifle Club in Boulder, Co. does not let the Boulder Police use the range, they do however welcome the Sheriff’s Department. The politicians in Boulder are a nest of vipers and would close the club down and steal the land if they could.

Good for them!

However, they better watch themselves or they’ll have the cops trailing them around town ready to give them tickets over nothing.

Good for them. Let the cops know, it’s not you, your bosses suck.

Anyone thinking the police and national guard will side with us on gun control better think again. They are carefully trained and will do what they are told.

Jack boots thugs from ATF and FBI are the worst. The US Army and the Marines may not side with the Feds against citizens of USA, if hostilies were to break out.
