At least being gay you would have practice dealing with by 22. This just came out of the blue and seemed to completely overwhelm him. He was duped and lied about it. We get that. But he is still the same person. Still plays the same. Nothing has changed about this man. Hopefully the media will leave him alone before it drives him to be suicidal.
This isn't your run of the mill gay situation. There's never been an admitted gay on a championship football team, and most certainly never in the NFL. I still think it's a clever cover that sort of blew up on him. He could have any tart on campus and he chose an imaginary email girl instead? Nah, I don't think so.

I think he wanted a tragic story of unbelievable proportions that would become one of the most celebrated stories of heroism in US sport, not any tart on campus.
