A procedure that inserts fecal matter from a healthy person into the intestines of someone with diarrhea has been found to be a better treatment than antibiotics.

Antibiotics are often what CAUSES diarrhea.
What people need is pro-biotics, the good bacteria which are supposed to be living in the gut which prevent diarrhea that the antibiotics cause by killing off the good bacteria.
The good stuff can had in the dairy section of the supermarket, in kefir, and in OTC supplements as capsules.
Before anyone goes in for a poop transplant, they need to seriously try an aggressive, prolonged course of pro-biotics.
