DeWyze struck me as someone who might have a career if they still had singers at Shakeys pizza joint. He is not someone I would actually pay to see, but if his singing came with the pie...so be it.
Oh goody Al Jolson in black face is on ;-) LMAO!!!!!!!!!!
ROFL!
I imagine it would help if the pizza joint served alcoholic beverages ;)
Off topic, but you just reminded me of something I'd completely forgotten. When I was a teenager, my BFF had a brother who worked at Shakey's. We used to walk there after school and he'd make us a pizza. This Shakey's didn't have a singer, it had a piano player. The first time I heard the piano player, it seemed that he played much better than one might expect in such an environment, even though he was confined to ragtime piano, such as Scott Joplin. One day he asked if I had any requests. I said, "Yes, I'd love to hear you play Chopin's Polonaise Op. 53 in A Flat Major!" And so he did. Perfectly, and without benefit of sheet music. Turns out he was a highly trained classical pianist, and had even been a contestant in the Van Cliburn Foundation competition. You just never know. :-)
