Okay...Just for informations sake...they don’t hand these thing out willy-nilly in Washington state. You have to wait on a waiting list this is...at this point...three YEARS long. Or, if you have gone through special programs they will, after you graduate, grant you a Section 8 voucher without the waiting.
Not ALL people who have Section 8 are property-destroying slobs who ruin neighborhoods. I live in a neighborhood that I know has at least three Section 8 houses. Not a ONE of them are dirty, filled with trash, or have unkempt lawns. And one of the families has a working (full time) father and a stay-at-home mom, married to each other for 15 years and not to anyone else, with four kids, one of whom is disabled. And...they are WHITE.
Stereotypes suck, they aren’t always accurate, and we conservatives should be better then that.
F that. Let the collapse happen. I’m tired of my money being pilfered so you can feel better about posting. MY kids deserve better than what is being STOLEN from us by means of GOVERNMENT and given to “section 8” types. I don’t give a rats ass how well they keep the place.
All I can speak to is my personal experience with Section 8 housing in my city. The vast majority of the people who are in section 8 houses do NOT take care of the homes. Grass never cut. Cars parked in the yard. Toys, trash strewn about. Adults sitting outside smoking and proficient in the use of the “F” word.
As a realtor I have seen this repeated over and over and over. Once one house goes section 8, others follow suit and then the people who are home-owners start seeing their property values fall as more and more unkept homes litter the neighborhood. It is a vicious cycle.
So YES, section 8 housing can be incredibly destructive to a neighborhood and destroy the value of middle class tax payers largest asset, their home.
What an infantile thought process!
Stereotypes exist based on numbers, nothing else.
That you have found one non-black family out of fifty, does not invalidate what everyone's eyes confirm.
Doesn't lack of video for these events confirm the obvious? How about the lack of statistical information to prevent absolute validation of the your hated "stereotype?"
