Its really saddening. It is meant to create a culture of both conscious and subconscious acceptance of sin. Nothing is shocking or disgusting to people anymore.

Indeed. The embracing of homosexuality is a sign of God’s judgment itself(Romans 1) and as Doug Wilson wrote, the end not the beginning of a society’s fall into sexual perversion.
