On a personal note, at the bottom of our hill the school bus caromed off a car. I rushed down and the kids on the bus were fine, so was the little baby girl asleep in her car seat in the car. Praise God. I was holding that baby earlier that day. The adrenaline rush didn't want to go away...I was restless for hours after.

Perhaps, in 2016, republicans will carom towards the Hispanic vote, by nominating Marco Rubio.

Sudden ice syndrome? The other morning it iced up a little north of the city and someone slid and overturned. Her two small children were crushed. So sad.

Is there a difference between carom and careen? And for a marginal note, people in Australia and Britain use “career” the way we would use careen, or carom, whereas we use the word career to mean job, or life’s pursuit. I got into a hot argument with an Aussie about that years ago.
