Surprise. A third year med student knows about the "unhappy triad".

I'll leave it for Shannhan, RG III, and the team orthopedist to debate why he was left (or even started) in the game.

I really like the QB, but his weak knee was not reason enough to risk a potentaially career-ending injury.

It was clearly obvious to anyone watching the last 3 quarters of the game that RG3 should have been taken out of the game, not only to protect him from further injury but because he couldn’t do what was needed.

Unhappy triad includes the medial collateral ligament not the lateral. But after watching the injury in slo mo it appeared he did blow out the medial collateral and not the lateral.
