As soon as a repair of any type id done, value goes down. And the bigger the repair, the bigger the hit.
There are few of those models out there. Not like MEGA rare, but they arent like a Strat or Les Paul with high production runs.
Think of it like an original 57 Chevy vs. a garage restored hot rod.
Both have value. One has a lot more. But the original is still an original. As for sound, it really depends on the damage. Maybe none, maybe significant. No way to tell for certain unless you had major cracks or breaks. Then it will assuredly have an effect.
Thanks for the added insight. I can fully relate to the car scenario, as I had a car ‘destroyed’, through no fault of my own (rear ended while stopped at a light). It could have been fixed, but it would not have been the same.
