We start our fast (Lent) on February 13. At my present rate of weight loss, I’ll be incorporeal by Easter ;-).

I learned about the Azusa Revival when I became involved in the Charismatic Renewal in Tulsa, 2000 or so. (Between Elen and Sally.) There are huge movements of the Spirit happening in many places, but we learn so little about them from the general media ... just as we won’t hear anything about the national March for Life, in spite of hundreds of thousands’ turning out in cruddy weather. “Never happened,” say the national media. “Everyone is pro-abortion, we all know that.”

Actually, I think it's time I re-read "The Last Battle." While trying to find whether it was "farther" or "further" I found quite a few good quotes. Here's a real corker:

"Now don’t you start arguing," said the Ape, "for it's a thing I won't stand. I'm a Man: you’re only a fat, stupid old Bear. What do you know about freedom? You think freedom means doing what you like. Well, you’re wrong. That isn't true freedom. True freedom means doing what I tell you."
