The plan was to get Romney and GOP Senate. Jim DeMint discussed this last July. I would much rather have Romney being inaugurated two weeks from Sunday, and so should you.Rather, yeah. MUCH rather? Probably not. The premise of the article is pretty spot on. Dems fight to win (and also have the media covering for them). Republicans are the French surrender monkeys of the political world.

Republicans are the French surrender monkeys of the political world. Now that is an insult... to the French. The French have, at least, put up more than token resistance (the recent liberal-party president undid the modest gains incurred by his conservative predecessor) -- the GOP has not stood for any of their stated platform planks in the years I've been politically aware (I'm only 30).
