i also wanted to do a class report today- i went shooting with xshub yesterday, my first time at a range [i’ve shot clays before at a resort]. it was interesting. for those who may not have gone before or perhaps if it differs regionally speaking, i wanted to relate that the clientele was not what you might imagine. i feel pretty sure that libs think that it’s a largely redneck crowd. well let me tell you, in the DC suburbs of Chantilly, VA, it was far from redneck. for one thing, the ethnic diversity was staggering. There was an Asian family, complete with grandad, parents and young teen kids. Indianish looking families. lots of dads and kids, sons and daughters. very nearly as many women as men, and i am talking well dressed, stylish women of all ages. We waited at least a half hour for a lane, it was that crowded. The guys manning the place consisted of as many blacks as whites. I don’t know about anyone else’s perceptions, but i figure that the ethnic diversity alone would astound libs.
Lots of people buying guns. Can’t all be white guys. Though it was the last time I was at the range. ;-)
Speaking of rednecks, I watched a funny movie the other night on Netflix. Tucker and Dale vs Evil. A couple WV rednecks checking out their newly-bought vacation cabin run into some college kids out partying and horror comedy ensues.
One of the college girls hits her head and falls in the lake. The rednecks rescue her, but the kids think they are abducting her and are crazy killers.
