Hilarious! I had to buy a new one last month because the raccoons kept knocking it off the holder on the deck railing till it broke. I put the new one on a fence post where it is unlikely to be messed with.

and speaking of western PA, i was told that anti-fracking POS movie was filmed in Avonmore PA! that was a town within our school district. i have several friends from there. it's a tiny little podunk place which i was sure was turned completely upside down by having Matt Damon on the premises. what the HECK he did while he was there i have no idea. it's at least a half an hour or more to even monroeville mall! just down the Kisskiminetas River from Apollo, PA. Apollo was my postal address even though we lived 11+ miles from Apollo. and it is where our church and my elementary school, St James the Greater, is located.

Are you laughing at the name or the idea? Cause I’m pretty sure people do have outdoor tables in other areas. Even in Houston you might be able to enjoy an outdoor meal this time of year.

i’m laughing bc i am picturing the white painted picnic table at my dad’s house. we have patio furniture, and i am sure that Whyisa does too. i don’t know anyone with the stereotypical picnic table i grew up with in western PA, down here.

There was an ad for the movie on the back cover of National Review. Who do they think their target audience is?

Midget girl just hopped onto the kitchen windowsill to check out the bird feeder on the deck-the other pets weren’t paying much attention, but when a squirrel ran down the outside window frame, she freaked out, fell backwards out of the window and right onto Husky girl, who just gave her a what-the-hell-is-your-problem look while the other two cats barely blinked. Not easily amused...

Ours was stained to look like redwood. But that was another time.

It’s all plastic stuff from Walmart now.

awwww....
Jules was having some species confusion last week. On three separate occasions he tried bringing a bird feather into the house! was hoping there was no bird carcass out there that he was dismembering.
Oh and a few weeks back he came in with something hanging off his ear hair. xsbaby was petting him when he came in and said ew, there’s something slimy on his ear. we looked and it appeared to be some leechlike thing and she, xsteen and i started screaming. xsteen’s boyfriend was there and i said, xsboyfriend, you are the man, you have to deal with this! i handed him a papertowel, we held jules still and he extracted the thing from his ear. i know xsBF wanted to scream like a woman but didn’t dare do so in front of the three of us. had xsboy been home and i tried that on him, he would just say, I”M NOT going to deal with it, YOU get it off of him. But xsBF didn’t dare!

my luck on having oral arguments cancelled has run out. the last two were cancelled. i have one in two weeks in the 6th Cir in Cincinnati which is going forward, it was posted on their calendar this AM, complete with the judges who will be sitting on the panel. oh well, can’t win them all i guess. Opposing counsel is a horse’s ass, and i am not exaggerating. he has been cited in some actual decisions by the Courts for various ridiculous things he has argued.

A lot of people here do have traditional type picnic tables w/benches-there is one in the loon’s yard-but they are made of cedar or redwood, not painted, and a couple of the shops here offer homemade ones for sale in spring. They are also placed in the yard/by the grill-not on the deck or patio.

I have wrought iron chairs and table with an umbrella on the deck-some people have wooden patio furniture on the deck, too, but no picnic table.

Dealing with an opposing counsel who is a horse’s ass sounds like lovely fun-I do not envy you...

Midget girl is only about the size of the squirrel that startled her-she is afraid of just about every creature other than small birds and insects. The vet says she is about 18 months to 2 years old, really is a midget, and probably learned to avoid animals that could eat her at an early age in the wild.
