Sounds to me like you listen to Mark Levin. Either that, or you’re following the same line of thought he is, anyway.

Levin has been saying that the answers do not lie in Washington DC. That no matter what we do or don’t do, it’s futile to look there for answers. Says he’s working on a plan of action at the state/local levels.

He wants Boehner challenged for Speaker. He wants someone to step up and challenge him even if they lose. Have to start somewhere. And the someone should be truly conservative, articulate and passionate

But when all is said and done, his bottom line is, don’t look to Washington. He’s not advocating a third party because he knows that only helps Democrats and again puts the focus where it can’t work...the level of federal elections.

Nor is he disowning every Republican in Congress...he says the LEADERSHIP level is hopeless.

Levin is a bit of an optimist. But even he said the answer is NOT in DC.

Next primary season we as conservatives have to get behind one candidate. Regardless of party that we agree with. We can’t have one Rino and 5 conservatives running.

But, the GOPe will make sure that just that happens. so the conservative vote gets split and the Rino wins.

Funny you mention that. Yes I do listen to Levin and have been noticing what he is saying about the answers not lying in Washington. That being said, I don't know for sure what he is getting at but I really hope he is thinking along the same lines.

I have been advocating an Article 5 convention for some time so I really hope that's what he is thinking but I have my doubts. My guess is he is thinking we need to start at the local level and finally work our way back to conservative government. I don't agree with this strategy at all. It's my belief we simply don't have enough time. We must act now while we have upwards of 30 or so red states and probably 8 to 10 more that can be won with an organized effort.

We must amend the constitution now!

One thing for sure is that Levin and I agree spending any significant effort trying to reform Washington is a waste of time. It's so far gone it's absolutely hopeless.

The odd thing to me is all the talk of succession and civil war yet almost no mention of an article 5 convention. States amending the constitution is CLEARLY preferable to the breakup of the country or war. The founders added this section of our constitution for this very situation yet few ever even mention it. This tells me that people are just not as familiar with our constitution as they think. Which means we just need to get the word out AND have someone like Levin get on board.

The left has a HUGE weakness. That weakness is that they simply don't have the numbers to win in a fair fight. Level the playing field and we will crush them. An article 5 convention does just that.
