Aside from the major cities, much of California is somewhat conservative. It’s just that the cities have too great of a population to overcome. The state itself is beautiful. Beaches, mountains, deserts, and forests make it have something for everyone.
Jeff Stone, supervisor of Riverside County, has been trying to form a 51st state with other inland and southern counties (excluding LA county). He won’t succeed, but we understand and appreciate his attempt.
There is very little reporting of this, even in California media.
