My first job! Those were 100% real roasts.
Occasionally, when we sliced them we would chip a blade from buckshot in the roast. Seems frustrated hunters who got skunked would shoot cows just for the sake of shooting something.
I used to add the roast beef to the Double-R-Bar burger (a cheese burger with ham) to create my own version of goodness! Filling even for a sixteen year old boy!

I thought I was the only one! I remember that I would make my own burger: cheeseburger, ham, roast beef, a fried egg, bacon, raw onions, and mayo. All of it was real food, and so delicious (the buns were heavily buttered with real butter). I was so sad when Hardees bought them out, and turned the restaurant into a monstrosity.
