Whilst eggs cooked properly are a great source of protein and part of a healthy diet, raw eggs could cause food poisoning and may contain salmonella bacteria.I'm left wondering what the heck it was that killed him. I can't imagine food poisoning or salmonella kicking in so quickly. If you are making food demanding raw eggs, such as mayonnaise or ice cream, use pasteurised eggs to eliminate risks.
Stupidity.

Probably upset the delicate balance of electroltyes in his system.
Allergy to uncooked egg protein? Whatever, at least now we know what the LD50 is for eggs.

The answer is cholesterol poisoning. It takes time for the body to process cholesterol into the chemicals that it needs, steroids and hormones. Eggs contain a high amount of cholesterol. I remember calculating back in microbiology, when we learned about this, that if a person ate somewhere around 25-30 eggs within the span of an hour, they would overwhelm the ability of the body to process the cholesterol, and would die from the toxicity.
