An old relative in Norway (lived through the NAZI occupation) has his old .22 single-shot rifle registered with the government. Registration in Norway has been around forever - the first thing the Germans did was go to the town’s courthouse and get the records of gun owners and take the guns and keep a watch on the owners.

My dad said he was amazed at the animals that relative’s .22 has taken: ducks and geese, deer, and even some animals on an African Safari! ;)

A well-placed .22LR is a deadly round, despite its size. I still carry a .32cal inside my pelvis, from a '74 robbery/shooting, and was lucky beyond belief.
